New Mexico’s number 1 cannabis company continues to provide medicine to underserved areas
(Albuquerque) – Ultra Health®, a national medical cannabis leader with a large New Mexico presence, is continuing its commitment to serving rural areas by opening its seventh location in Clovis on January 27, 2017. Ultra Health now has locations in five counties across New Mexico.
The new location – a 1,600 square foot facility at 1512 North Prince Street – will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It will be Ultra Health’s third dispensary in a rural area, with two others in Hobbs and Bernalillo.

Currently there are 9 patients per thousand for a total of 472 medical cannabis patients residing in Curry County without a full time dispensary nearby. The closest medical cannabis dispensary is more than 100 miles away. The number of patients in Curry County has increased by 106 percent from October 2015 to October 2016.
The new Ultra Health location will also serve Roosevelt County, where there are 7 patients per thousand for a total of 143 patients, and Quay County, where there are nearly 13 patients per thousand for a total of 112 patients. Roosevelt and Quay counties have seen patient increases by 113 percent and 96 percent respectively from October 2015 to October 2016.
Ultra Health is committed to further increasing access in the underserved communities in New Mexico. Amendments have been submitted to the New Mexico Department of Health and are pending the department’s approval to proceed with dispensaries in Silver City, Alamogordo, Deming, Carlsbad and more.
