Flower

Cannabis flowers are the buds of the plant which can be smoked. There are a variety of cannabis strains which produce flower with different THC and CBD percentages, as well as terpenes. Different species of cannabis, such as indica, sativa, and hybrids, will produce different effects for the user.

  • Indica: Strains classified as indicas have sedative effects, typically producing a heavier body high.
  • Sativa: Sativa strains are usually energizing, producing uplifting cerebral effects.
  • Hybrid: Some cannabis strains are a combination of both indica and sativa. These strains are referenced as “hybrids.” In addition, particular strains may be a blend of both sativa and indica with one species dominating the strain. Examples include sativa-dominant hybrids and indica-dominant hybrids.

Concentrates

Concentrates are medical cannabis products which undergo an extraction process. This extraction process includes solvents which strip the raw cannabis material of its cannabinoids which results in a highly-potent extract. Concentrates may come in high THC, CBD only, and THC to CBD ratio forms. Below you will find more in-depth descriptions of the various concentrates offered by Ultra Health.

  • Shatter: Often referred to as the purest type of extract, shatter has an amber-colored, glass transparency. This form of concentrate is typically the most potent, undergoing an additional filtration process to produce its glassy texture.
  • Wax: Cannabis wax is a broad term used for concentrates which are softer and more opaque than shatter. Wax can take on different consistencies based on its extraction method. Examples of wax include “budder,” a gooey extract, as well as “crumble” or “honeycomb,” which has a soft, brittle texture.
  • Live resin: Live resin is a concentrate which is manufactured using a technique taking freshly harvested cannabis and freezing it to subcritical temperatures. Then, the frozen cannabis is extracted which produces a concentrate high in aromatic and flavorful terpenes.
  • Sauce: Live resin sauce, also known simple as “sauce,” is a cannabis extract with high levels of terpenes.
  • Nectar: This form of concentrate is made solely from high-quality cannabis flower, rather than trim from the buds. Nectar typically has a strong effect and flavor.
  • Cartridges: Cannabis cartridges are vaporizer attachments that are pre-filled with concentrates.

Topicals

Topicals are medical cannabis lotions, balms, oils, and patches that are applied to the skin to relieve localized pain, soreness, and inflammation. Topicals are non-intoxicating and do not get the user “high.” These products are great for patients who want to experience relief from cannabis without the psychoactive effects other forms of medicine produce.
